I am a Zambian writer from Lusaka District. I write at a desk in English. It is my constitutional right to use the English language. Article 258 from the Constitution of Zambia prescribes that English is my official language. I have lawful authority to write in English.

I love the English language. Zambians earned the right to use English after vanquishing the British Empire. I am a free citizen in a sovereign republic. I own the official English language of Zambia.

I was an English major. I studied poetry, stage theatre plays and novels in higher education. In April 2011 at the age of twenty-one, I earned a degree for Bachelor of Arts Languages in English Studies from the University of Pretoria. I am qualified to write creatively in English.

I use the English language in the African Union and Commonwealth of Nations. I cooperate with the international community in polite English. I am a diplomatic Zambian woman. Speaking English is diplomacy.

I enrich Zambia by working professionally. It is professional to labour in English. I produce publications at a desk in Lusaka. I write complete sentences in plain English. My publications reach Zambians in ten provinces.

The People of Zambia read creative writing. There is demand for poetry and prose in the official English language of Zambia. I supply poems, stories and reports. I am a productive Zambian writer.

Literacy by Anna Zgambo

My name is Anna Zgambo. I am a Zambian writer. I write at a desk in Mtendere Ward. I care about literacy. I write to inspire Zambians to read. Reading and writing are integral for human development.

Zambians need literacy skills to participate in democracy. Citizens must read laws to sustain the Republic of Zambia. The Zambian People have to read the Bill of Rights to achieve constitutionalism. Literate voters cast valid ballots. Literacy is vital to maintain democracy in Zambia.

I write to empower Zambians to become readers. I have readers. My target is to reach 5 million readers in 116 districts. I am partnering with Zambia Educational Publishing House to distribute Anna Zgambo's publications in all ten provinces. Zambians are reading.

I write for 160 hours a month to produce Zambian publications. I am the author of a Chitumbuka book called Wongani Zambia. I am the author of a Cinyanja book entitled Zambia Ni Yokoma. I write creative reports about national priorities in the official English language of Zambia. Readers access my publications in the public domain. I serve readers. I want Zambians to read.

I am a Zambian woman in Mtendere Ward. I work to earn wages. People in Lusaka need monthly salaries to pay for electricity, water, food, housing, telecommunications and transport. Income is integral in the Republic of Zambia.

I labour at a desk in Lusaka City. Desk work is lucrative. I write for eight hours a day at this desk. Working hours have monetary value. I write at a desk for 160 hours a month to earn income.

A salary is essential to live with human dignity in Lusaka. Citizens suffer from poverty if they do not have wages. People feel poor when income is inadequate. Zambians enjoy development when salaries are substantial. Families flourish when income is consistent.

Earnings come from excellent work. I get paid for practising my profession properly. It is crucial to labour correctly. I improve by studying my profession. I draw wages by working skilfully. I earn income by committing to professionalism.

The People of Zambia work for wages. Productivity produces prosperity. Government of Zambia pays emoluments. Labour generates wealth. Employers in the private sector disburse salaries. Zambians aspire for dignified income. Workers in the Republic of Zambia require fair remuneration.

Autobiography by Anna Zgambo

My name is Anna Zgambo. I was born at Kalingalinga Clinic within Lusaka on 29 November 1989. My father, Thomas Wanyanya Zgambo, died in 1991 from cerebral malaria. My mother is Juliet Lwenje.

I grew up in a single-parent household. Juliet Lwenje is a professional secretary. She paid my school fees from kindergarten to university. I come from a loving home.

I attended Grade 1 at Jacaranda Primary School in Lusaka. I moved to the Russian Federation in 1996 when my mother became a diplomat. Juliet Lwenje worked at the Zambian Embassy in Moscow from 1996 to 2005. I earned an Honor's High School Diploma from the International School of Tomorrow in Moscow in 2005.

In 2011, I earned a degree for Bachelor of Arts Languages in English Studies from the University of Pretoria. In 2012, I was employed by Chemonics International as a publications specialist at a USAID project called STEP-UP Zambia. I pursued self-employment in 2014. I participated in the Ngoma Awards 2019 and Ngoma Awards 2020 as a creative writer.

I live in Mtendere Ward within Lusaka City. I have a desk at home where I write for eight hours a day. I am a self-employed writer. My work plan is to write for forty hours a week. I write essays, poems, plays and stories. I focus on creative writing.

I am single. I have never been married. I have no children. I am still enjoying my youth. I intend to obtain two more degrees. My goal is to earn a middle-income salary in Zambia. I aspire for economic independence.

My role model is Juliet Lwenje. She is sixty years old in November 2021. She retired in May 2021 and now works as a contract employee. I admire Juliet Lwenje's commitment to professionalism. My mother proves to me that a woman can achieve financial independence by working professionally. Juliet Lwenje worked as a secretary for 38 years and retired with dignity on her sixtieth birthday.

I aspire for a dignified life in Zambia. It is challenging to live in Mtendere Ward, but I accept all challenges with a good attitude. I see the opportunities in Munali Constituency. I use my skills to empower the People of Zambia.

I care about improving literacy. I encourage Zambians to read and write. I have readers in all ten provinces. I am partnering with Zambia Educational Publishing House to distribute Anna Zgambo's books to 116 districts.

Democracy by Anna Zgambo

I endorse democracy in Zambia. It is vital to vote for good governance. I am a voter in the General Election. I elect a president, parliamentarian, mayor and councillor. Leadership is democratic in Zambia. Citizens choose. The electorate decides. Democracy is a decision. The People of Zambia have power to direct the government. I am a democrat in a sovereign republic. I revere Zambian democracy. 

Democracy is constitutional in Zambia. It is official. Democracy is a national value and principle in the Constitution of Zambia. It is lawful. I implement the Zambian Bill of Rights to enjoy democracy.

The Laws of Zambia prescribe human rights to strengthen democratic governance. I have constitutional human rights in the Republic of Zambia. The Zambian Bill of Rights is a law that protects the electorate. I respect that democracy is a human right.

Zambian democracy is beautiful. It is sublime to reside in a republic. I am a free woman in Zambia. Democracy is freedom. I express ideas in my ward. I suggest new by-laws. I liaise with local government. We clean the ward. We solve social problems. It is rewarding to collaborate with my councillor. I express knowledge in the ward. Democracy is free expression.

I write and read in Munali Constituency. I direct the legislature with words, knowledge and logic. I reason about the Republic of Zambia. I have rational arguments concerning good governance. I write civic expositions about Munali Constituency. Words command the legislature. I write letters.

Communication develops Munali Constituency. I speak to my Member of Parliament. I listen to the National Assembly. It is imperative to partner with Parliament. I recommend new bills. We develop Zambia with Acts of Parliament. I read legislation made by the legislature. An Act of Parliament is a democratic law. I read laws to earn merit in Munali Constituency. Literacy is essential in Zambian democracy.

Civic education expands democracy. I inspire the People of Zambia to read. Literate citizens cast valid ballots. Spoiled ballots are a symptom of illiteracy. Reading is requisite in the republic. Zambia develops when the electorate is literate. Literacy is a civic necessity.

I motivate the Zambian People to write. Writing directs Government of Zambia. Written letters develop the republic. It is just to write petitions to the Judiciary of Zambia. Writing produces justice. Literate citizens have direct access to justice in the Zambian State. Democracy is justice. I empower people to improve Zambian democracy by reading and writing.

The People of Zambia practice peace to achieve progress. Jealousy, animosity and conflict are the enemies of development. The republic advances when citizens cooperate. Empathy dissolves envy. Humility pacifies hostility. Respect increases understanding. Zambians encourage each other to succeed. The wards are friendly neighbourhoods. Citizens motivate one another to excel. The Republic of Zambia is progressive.

The People of Zambia endeavour to understand each other. We recognise that every citizen is a unique individual. Tolerance is vital in a republic with a population of seventeen million. We tolerate one another. There are seventeen million opinions in Zambia. We respect each other. Seventeen million personalities are flourishing in Zambia. We are equal. All seventeen million prerogatives have precedence in the Zambian State. We appreciate diversity. All seventeen million people in Zambia have individual liberty. We understand one another.

The People of Zambia achieve stability by implementing constitutional values. Citizens attain peace by applying principles from the Zambian Bill of Rights. The Constitution of Zambia prescribes that every person has human rights. She has the right to express ideas. He has the right to create wealth. They have equal rights.

He has the right to access education. She has the right to practise a profession. They have constitutional rights. The Constitution of Zambia empowers every person to enjoy peace. Peace is the goal of development. Peace is the antidote to strife. Peace is the answer to the question of war. Peace is the solution to the problem of conflict. A peaceful response establishes unity. The People of Zambia shall respond peacefully.
